Workshop Description
"There are many ways to start a pastel painting. I have several methods I use to start a painting and I will share my strategies for a successful start. Often though it is the finishing stage of the painting and deciding on those final marks that can make or break the painting. The last few minutes can lead to overworking or can make a good painting into a ‘wow’ painting.

In this three day studio workshop I will focus on both the beginning and the finishing stages of a landscape painting. I will share strategies that will help the artist achieve a strong start as well as know when to stop! I have developed a few simple strategies that will help artists with these two critical stages of a painting. In the workshop I will put these tips and strategies into action during my lessons and demos!

There will be multiple demos, handouts and plenty of individual help at the easel during the workshop."
---Karen Margulis

Skill Level: This course is appropriate for all pastel artists from beginner to advanced.
